Today in west civ we took the prelims to our exams . i decided to write about the gov similarities and differences from rome and the US. I talked about the way arts developed between rome and Greece. and then talked about the geographical luck of rome Egypt and Greece

Circus Maximus-

The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot racing stadium and mass entertainment venue located in Rome, Italy.

Coliseum- The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater is an elliptical amphitheater in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy.
Had vast tunnels underneath for gladiators animals and other things

Test on ancient Greece

Today we took a test that finalized what we learned about ancient Greece. I thought the test was easy and i feel that i aced it. The rest of the class is pretty much down time.

SO today we started a project and a paper the group is me Nate and Skylar and our topic is governments of greece

Today we jumped into the world of ancient greece and started to learn about it. The ancient greeks had to import lots of goods. They could not grow a lot because greece is very mountainous. They had the best navy of the time. They grew olives grapes and grains and the main meat they had was fish.

Temple of Apollo at Didyma. It was built in 300 BC. 

It was made to have two sets of columns surrounding

called a dipteral. Only 3 columns are left there were

The Temple of Hephaestus 

This temple was built in Athens. In the seventh century it was

 converted to a church. this church is still in use today. The temple was originally built for Hephaestus god of metal work and volcanoes.

Greece

Greeces location can effect their culture by providing them with what they need to survive.what they farm, and if there able to be attacked

the bodies of water that surround Greece are the Adriatic Sea, Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. 

the large island to the south/southeast is Crete. 

There are tons of little city states around but they are all united

Today we took a test on Egypt it was pretty easy and i feel i did quite well on it i will post da grade as soon  as he grades it

Today in class you were not here so l worked on the assignment you gave us. In class I went to your blog and went over the whole Egypt power point  I made sure that i had  notes on the geography, gods and goddesses, everyday life social classes and so on. I made sure that i understood the social pyramid and that it went pharaoh, government/noble priests, soldiers, scribes, merchants, artists, farmers, slaves/servants. I also made sure that i understood how important the Nile is to them for agriculture. 

Today

we finished guns germs and steel. when the missile east was no longer useful humans they migrated into eygept asia and europe causing more revolutionary things to come out like bronze and steel.

Today

We continued to watch the video about how the world developed. There were 14 animals that helped found humanity. Camels cattle of all sorts goat sheep horses llamas any large animal that can work. If we hadn't tamed these animals we wouldn't be able to work more land and grow larger

Today we continued to watch a video about how certain people were able to advance then others. The main thing is crop domestication of cereal crops and grains. Another big thing was the domestication of animals

Western civ

Today we started watching a video about the evolution of humans. It talked about the first crop domestication and houses built. It was a fun day but I'm really starting to get annoyed with the other side of the classroom. They all chat all the time and they just don't seem to get what be quite means.

Today we continued learning about the ancient humans in Mesopotamia. We learned that the stone age was advanced when they domesticated animals. Mesopotamia was the first civilized area. This will be the best the world has to offer until the Egyptians
